At Mason Dixon Dragway in Boonsboro, MD, the safety of our racers and visitors is our top priority. To ensure a secure environment, the operation of drones over our property is strictly prohibited without direct authorization from our business.

Drones have the potential to be distracting to racers and pose a serious danger to our visitors. As such, we do not permit any flight operations, whether recreational or commercial, over our establishment unless the pilot can demonstrate, prior to the event, the possession of a current Part 107 license, the aircraft’s compliance with all required registrations, markings, and insurance, as well as capable piloting skills and knowledge.

It is crucial to recognize that even flights as low as one foot in the air are conducted in national airspace, and you must comply with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidance at all times. Flying any aircraft over our property / visitors without our express permission is not only a serious safety risk to all, but also a direct violation of FAA guidance.  Additionally, our property is located within the restricted airspace for Camp David, with Presidential TFR’s (Temporary Flight Restrictions) issued at times which make flying anywhere around here completely illegal.

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees. If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact us directly for assistance.
