What a fantastic opening day for 2026 drag racing season. The grounds were a bit wet as a huge turnout of diesel show trucks  and many race fans came out to enjoy the day. First off a big shout out to Keegan Everson of Mason Dixon Diesels for hosting and handling the large group of diesel trucks in the show field. We did do a Test & Tune that got underway at 11 am til 3 pm. We had a number of fast diesel trucks, several ran well into 11’s a few were quicker. Brady Kile had his LS Chevy powered Mustang making several No Time passes, he got quicker each run. Chris Forman’s dragster ran a best 4.68 @ 147 mph. All three Custers made numerous passes, Poe, Danny and Keith all ran well. Roman Balaska and Laney Thomas had their Junior Dragsters out and Ely Baer drove his Junior Street Chevy truck. All made good passes. We gotta thank all diesel truck entries in the show and those that raced. There was almost no opening day glitches. How about the huge turnout of race fans. Outstanding. Steve Dickey  did some of the announcing, it’s always a better day when he is with us, more fun too. A shout out to our great track staff, the track worked really well, all the staff handled everything very well….a really good opening day!
Sunday. —  March 22nd
This was our annual Swap Meet that was well attended with many vendors too. The crowd rolled in early and I noticed many carrying out all kinds of race car stuff. Weather was beautiful which was nice. Things started winding down about 1 pm. Another good day to wrap up the weekend.
Ok, the next race days….Street Nite Saturday April 11th and a Test & Tune Sunday April 12th. See you then at Mason Dixon Dragway!
