Saturday. —. September 6th
This was another Street Nite event that got underway right at 3:30 pm. The weather ok, humid and temps around 80 degrees. All classes got two time runs and then we went to round one of eliminations. The Nasty 9’s had ten entries with the index set at 9.80 in the 1/4 mile, multiple time winner John Moser won out over Steve Kurimchak. The Quick 16 group had Mitch Willingham who is a many time winner over Lee Chronister, Casey Carper and Ronnie Proctor were the semi racers . Next the 5.90 Ondex was won by Dan Shaffer over Jason Smith. 6.50 index was won by Dave Slusher over Jeremy Manford. 7.10 Index was won by Bruce Suders over Christian Kelican. Pro winner was Glen Estelle over Liz Bailey. Sportsman had Jason Kline over Randy McManee. Drive-In Street winner was Nathanial Huffman over Chris Waters. We finished up about 9:15 pm. The racing was terrific tonight, close racing in all the classes. How about Ronnie Proctor in his true Ford powered Mustang ran a 4.17 @ 169.88 mph with an incredible .97 sixty foot time. Mike Daymude in his Dodge also was very fast with a 4.27 @ 164.90 mph with a .99 sixty foot time. Two things here…. Great cars with excellent drivers but also a DYNAMITE track. Every pass these drivers made were fast and consistent and dead straight too. We had some great racing tonight for sure… way to go racers and track staff for great race.
Sunday. — September 7th
This was a very well attended Test & Tine event with 100+ cars racing today. We also ran no entry fee Gamblers Race with 43 racers going after the $1,000.00 winner take all money. In the end Allen Chamberlain won over Caleb Peddicord. We ran to about 3:45 pm. Thank you to all the racers, crew members and family members and also to our great race fans and track sponsors too. Ok good luck to all the racers this weekend in the big dollar Mutt and Jeff event Friday Saturday and Sunday. See you at Mason Dixon Dragway!
