Friday. — July 18th
This was a Test & Tune event that got underway right a 6pm. Once again a gloomy forecast of rain and storms no doubt kept the turnout low. We did have
17 gambler racers that had a $340.00 winner take all purse. Tonight we had a first time winner. Shanna Meushaw lined up five times and out gunned all five of her opponents at the starting line and hit the 6.72 dial in the first four rounds and was one off the dial in the final and defeated the very tough Brandon Skelly. Shannah and her early Chevy Nova were nearly flawnees. Way to go Shannah and dad Charlie! We finished at 10 pm with lightning all around us.
Saturday. — July 17th
We got going at 12:30 pm with one time run. We wrapped up qualifying at about 1;30 pm In the Pto final it had Wayne Skelly over teammate Scott Drayer. In Super Todd Welzel won out over Brian Morrison. We did have an hour rain delay as a heavy rain shower hit right after round one. Definitely a great job by our Mason Dixon staff getting us underway so quickly after so much rain. We finished up about 5:30 pm.
This Friday is a Test & Tune event and the big dollar races Saturday and Sunday. See you this weekend at Mason Dixon Dragway!
