Saturday  —  Nov. 16th
This time of year the weather can really make or break us, this time we had two excellent days to finish out the 2024 racing season. We started our Test & Tune event at noon with temps in the high 50’s with breezy conditions. We had a huge turnout, 196 racers and many race fans too. We did run a $1,000.00 to win Gamblers race with Caleb Peddicord winning out over Calvin Kline. We finished up about 6 pm. What a day!
Sunday  —  Nov. 17th
The last race for 2024, our Turkey Race and it was a good one. The Junior Dragsters took the track at 9:30 am with 10 entries. Points champ an SBRA Bracket Finals winner Cole Rudy won out over Jordan Denny in a close well run final. Mikayla Woodward took third. Now the big cars. In Pro it was Lester Hotlzapple in a double breakout real close race winning over Chris Crawford. Bernie Staub took third. Super Pro was won by Danny Hoff over his dad George Hoff, Corey Hess took third place. Trophy was won by Mark Noel over Cody Johnson. We finished up about 5:30 pm. Great close racing all day. As always we had a dynamite hard hooking track from start to finish.
Ok notes on this weekend. We finished up the year strong, both days were well attended. We had minimal down time and racing action was pretty much non stop. Steve Dickey announced a good bit, both days. Shanna Meushaw who races in Super came in and announced the Junior Dragsters with me Sunday morning, she did really well too. The sad part, personally I’m going to miss my track staff co-workers and the racers over the winter for sure. I want to thank our track / management team for giving us this great place to race and work….Thanks, Elmer, Cathy, Jake and Cheryl. This is as good as it gets in our world of drag racing.
